Weekly reports for NJ/DE Bay at http://www.thefisherman.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=directory.category&PDIR=74
Late Tuesday afternoon, The Fisherman Magazine emailed to readers the final NJ Striper Options & Edison Show Info for February 13 (that story was updated following confirmation by NJDEP at 4:47 p.m. on Tuesday). When the Jersey Marine Fisheries Council convenes Thursday at 5 p.m. at the Stafford Twp. Municipal Building on 260 East Bay Avenue, Manahawkin, members of the angling public will get their last shot to speak up on striped bass for 2020. So, what’s it going to be; one striper from 28 to 35 inches, or would you prefer one striper from 28 to 38 inches? The meeting is open to the public, and the public is encouraged to attend in order to provide final input on the official vote by council. Also in the mix is New Jersey’s Striped Bass Bonus Program (SBBP), with the state looking at one at 24- to 28-inch slot as in previous years, wither either a 9/1 or 5/15 opening. Check out this week’s complete video forecast for details on the February 13 meeting and how this info all breaks out. Plus, the New Jersey Boat Sale & Expo kicks off in Edison, with fish and flea market opportunities north and south in the weekend ahead.
